James G. Sivard, Jr., MD, FACSJames G. Sivard, Jr., MD, FACS, received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1975. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1978 and completed his residency in general surgery at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in 1983.

He began his practice in general surgery at Riverside Methodist in 1983. Dr. Sivard has been part of the teaching staff at the Riverside Methodist General Surgery Training Program since 1983. He was named Teacher of The Year in 1990 and 2008.

He is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board, certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member in the Society of Surgical Oncology, which is the leading edge organization for the delivery of cancer care.

Dr. Sivard is the medical director of surgery, and quality and performance improvement. He has served in several other roles as medical director at Riverside Methodist .

Dr. Sivard lives in Dublin, Ohio, with his wife, Kathy. They have three
grown children.
